Love-Hate Relationship

Some things I love and those same things bug me:

Half days at work-I love not having to go into work early but hate how unmotivated I am when I get there since I've spent half the day not working and I would rather keep it that way.

Since I'm on the subject of work, I love and hate having a Starbucks downstairs. I think I've begun to hate this (hate is a strong word-dislike) more than love it just because money and pounds add up. Does it make it ok though that I walk 2 flight of stairs, up AND down, for Starbucks? ;).

Songs like: Jar of Hearts, Unbeautiful, Set Fire to the Rain, etc. They're just really good songs, even if they are slightly depressing...

Our apartment-I love our apartment but I'm getting tired of the rent little by little going up and up every month. No thanks.

The thought of having girls-they're going to be fun until they become teenagers. The thought of having boys-they're rambunctious until they become teenagers. Welp, it's a good thing I'm not having kids right now :)

Reflecting

Yesterday our pastor taught on Leviticus 1:1-9 for our Wednesday night study. There's so much information in such a little timeframe and I want to make sure everything sinks in so today I reflected on the teaching and applied it personally to my life. I identified the things that "belong to me" that I can give up to God as a burnt offering. I considered whether or not I'm giving God leftovers. I asked myself if I was holding anything back. And at the end I was blessed to be reminded that God has provided a cleansing so that the offering of myself to God is washed of all the ugly and dirt I accumulate throughout the day. Sometimes I feel ashamed coming to God when I've messed up throughout the day and I tell myself that God isn't pleased with me. But this reminds me that I still can come and worship Him, and because He has cleansed me, I can bring my whole self to Him.

Eddie and I had fun watching my little sisters last weekend! The girls were really good and Cameron was a big help. We took them to see Cars 2 on Saturday and it was a really good movie!

My parents had a really good time on their little vacation. I'm glad we got to give them some alone time- they work really hard at providing for and raising the kids. I know it gets hard sometimes but as I'm looking at these pictures and all these different little (and big) people that make up our family I'm so thankful that this is my family and I'm so thankful for how God has brought us together from all over the world. Happy Anniversary Mom and Dad!

Weekend Forecast

This weekend Eddie and I are staying at my parent's house to watch the little kiddos while they enjoy a weekend away for their anniversary. My parents REALLY deserve this and I'm super excited to spend some time with my brother and sisters. Pictures coming soon!

Hello Blogger! I think I like you much better!

I've been blogging for a couple months on Tumblr so if you're interested you can read earlier posts.

I had a hard time deciding which blogging venue to use but I decided this one was more flexible with design. I guess Tumblr works if you're brilliant enough to edit your own HTML or rich enough to pay for a cool theme. I'm neither of those...so here I am!
