Pictures, pictures!

a lot has happened in the last few weeks and it would take a very long blog post to talk about everything so instead I'll let the pictures talk!

We went up to L.A. to stay with our friends Jason and Rachel and while we were there we made some gingerbread houses:

Our Friends :)

We also took some pictures with the Hollywood sign:

If you look one way it's the Hollywood sign, and if you turn around it's that beautiful view

Rachel and I were trying to look touristy...didn't work out

The next day I took one of my little sisters ice skating. We spent most of the time wobbling and laughing our heads off. She did a great job!

Okay, these next pictures are extra special. Not only was this our first Christmas as a married couple, but it's my first Christmas ever with a real tree. So of course I had to document it!

The tree lot was a bit expensive, AND they didn't have good trees

So we went to Lowe's and found our tree!

Before and after of our tree:

This is really random, but I got to hold this cute little baby:

He was trying so hard not to fall asleep and was making these cute wimpering noises

Lastly, we went up to Pasadena with some friends:

Yes they do love each other

See!

Haha this picture is great:

New Thanksgiving Traditions

This year Thanksgiving brought new experiences that I hope become traditions. It was the first Thanksgiving for Eddie and I as married people. We woke up to Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade, Eddie made us some Starbucks Christmas blend coffee, and I baked some pies! It was a new experience for me, and they turned out pretty good! I made a pumpkin and pecan pie from scratch, except for the crust. Maybe one day I'll venture into that territory but for this year I was just aiming to not ruin the pies :)

After the pies were baked (about 2 hours later) we went to my parents house for Thanksgiving dinner.  My Mom worked hard to make a plethora of food and Eddie's family came over with a delicious ham. We ate & ate and after eating some more we played Apple to Apples and Cranium. Hannah could play the first game with us and although Cranium was a little hard for her she did proudly help us with a Madeline question haha. Here's some pictures from the day:

Baby Shower

This afternoon our church showered my beautiful friend Rachel with gifts and love for a new addition to her and her husband's family. I cannot wait to meet this baby, she is going to be so beautiful, a blessing to her family, and so loved. I love you Rachel and I'm so excited for you and Eric!

One of the women in our church made the cake. This is the top of it, made out of rice crispy treat!  The cake was so beautiful and delicious! Thank you Susie!

My Mom holding baby Zion, thank you Mom for all your help!

Today

I went into Fresh&Easy this morning and a woman there said "must be a special day to wear such pretty shoes". Unfortunately nothing exciting about today, but these WERE the shoes I walked down the aisle with my dad to my love. That was a special day, deserving pretty shoes :)
